"It's all in the hips" - Chubbs Peterson
Matt Sugden beats Ted Emmett in the Chubbs first ever playoff while Ashley Moore wins her first Gold Jacket in the Chubbettes
Sugden shot a final round 76 to become the lowest handicap to ever win the Chubbs. Sugden became the 7th different Gold Jacket winner in as many years. Ted Emmett shot a career low round to get himself into a playoff but ended up bogeying the first playoff hole to leave a 4 foot par putt for Sugden to win. Ian Dickson and Darren Eklund are still the only rookies to win the elusive Gold Jacket. Meanwhile, the Chubbettes was postponed due to Covid-19 until September. Ashley Moore won the tournament by 2 strokes after taking a year off to beat her husband to a Gold Jacket. She becomes the first Chubbette with a husband in the Chubbs to win a jacket. She beat out her mother-in-law Laura Moore who finished 2nd place. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we were only able to raise just over $5000 for local charities pushing our totals to over $29k.
